Career and Technical Education (CTE) Culinary Arts program; Grades 9-12; to provide a strong foundation in the Culinary Industry. 

 

Certification Requirements:  Family and Consumer Science Hospitality, Nutrition and Food Sciences, or Trade and Industrial

 

Education:  Vocational and Industry experience can be used through KCISD District of Innovation Plan. 

Required:  Minimum Associates Degree in Culinary Arts from accredited college or University, minimum 2 years of Industry supervising experience (Sioux Chef, Kitchen Manager, Executive Chef or Chef de Cuisine.) 

 

General knowledge of curriculum and instruction, ability to research and develop teaching units, ability to instruct students and manage their behavior, strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
